Eckert Schools International carried out teacher training programmes on the ground in China
In December 2017 and January 2018, Eckert Schools International carried out teacher training programmes in the areas civil engineering and robotics on the ground in China.
Regenstauf / Henan province, China Two experienced specialist teachers from Dr. Eckert Academy, Ms Susanne Biek and Mr Armin Hackenberg have travelled to China. The teachers of Huanghuai University, the Yellow River Conservancy Technical Institute and the Henan Polytechnic Institute in the Henan province were thrilled by their comprehensive and substantial subject-knowledge.
In December 2017, Ms Susanne Biek held two training courses in China, each lasting several days. The training courses included the development and characteristics of German architecture, the organisational process of construction planning, barrier-free building, energy-saving aspects, sustainability, and the economic efficiency of construction planning. Ms Biek won over the Chinese teachers with a host of practical examples and project work from the students at Dr. Eckert Academy in the area of construction planning.
Mr Hackenberg also held two robot training courses in the Henan province, China, over several days, each in January 2018. Within this, two different robotics systems were dealt with: at the Huanghuai University in Zhumadian, a KUKA training course was implemented, at the Henan Polytechnic Institute in Nanyand, an ABB training course. The participants were able to get to know about robot components, robot safety, robot control, robot movement and the coordinate system, alongside theoretical knowledge. The operation and programming of the robots was learned via practice.
The leadership teams of the Huanghuai University, the Yellow River Conservancy Technical Institute and the Henan Polytechnic Institute were extremely pleased with the practically oriented training and plan on extending their cooperation with Eckert Schools International. A statement of the intent to cooperate further was already signed in December 2017 by the Yellow River Conservancy Technical Institute.
