Summer Camp Experience for Chinese Guests at Eckert Schools International in Regenstauf
Regenstauf: From robotics and metalworking to the SMART Factory: In July 2024, eight participants from China enjoyed a unique training experience.
Eight young people from China, each with diverse educational backgrounds, share a common goal in the 'Summer Camp' program in Germany: to explore and experience the country's vocational training system."
Eckert Schools International crafted a diverse program for the participants. Through the interactive workshop 'How well do you know Germany?', they gained valuable intercultural insights and explored the German education system, including the dual training model. In the metal workshop, participants produced a component featuring various drill holes. Meanwhile, in the automation lab, they got hands-on experience controlling an industrial robot and learned the basics of programming.
In an online store, customers can customize and order products, which are then automatically manufactured by the Dr. Eckert Academy’s Smart Factory based on the order sequence. Participants in the 'Summer Camp' program experienced the Fourth Industrial Revolution, 'Industry 4.0,' firsthand. With cutting-edge technology, they witnessed live demonstrations of concepts like on-demand production and batch size 1 manufacturing.
Another highlight of the program was a guided tour of BMW's main plant in Munich, followed by a visit to 'BMW World.' The cultural sightseeing activities were organized for the participants by our partner, GEM-Yatang Ltd.
