Strengthening Global Vocational Training: Chinese Educators Engage successfully in Train the Trainer Program at Eckert Schools International

Thirty-nine teachers from two Chinese vocational colleges participated in a one-week "Train the Trainer" program at Eckert Schools International in Regenstauf, Germany, from February 12 to February 19, 2025.

 

The participants of the "Train the Trainer" program came from two colleges within the Pocy Group: Caofeidian College of Technology and Tangshan Maritime Institute. Before arriving in Germany, they had already spent a week in England, where they learned about the vocational education system at the University of Salford.

Welcome Ceremony and Introduction to Eckert Schools International
On February 12, 2025, Mr. Gerald Saule, Head of Vocational Training International at Dr. Eckert Academy, welcomed the participants from China and introduced them to the diverse educational programs and international collaborations with the Eckert Schools.

A series of highly engaging lectures and discussion rounds on the topic "The Development and Implementation of Dual Vocational Training in Germany" were conducted by Eckert Schools International for the participants.

The concepts of learning field orientation and complete action in the development of competency-based training programs for vocational education inspired the young teachers from China.

Learning in the Digital Age
Dr. Herfeld and Mr. Daniel Meuer, lecturers at Dr. Eckert Academy, showed the participants from China how Dr. Eckert Academy is innovatively implementing digitalization in vocational education and training.

An excursion to Audi AG in Ingolstadt highlighted the benefits of dual vocational training for the German economy and demonstrated how much importance German companies place on in-company training.

Positive feedback from both sides
The group leader, Mr. Ning Zhang, Vice Principal of Caofeidian College of Technology, summarized the program: "Not only was the training excellent, but also the organization and support provided by Eckert Schools International were first-class. During the program at Eckert Schools, we not only learned about the concept of vocational education but also became familiar with the German vocational training methodology, which provides us with valuable insights for further reforms in our training concepts. During our stay in Germany, we also experienced German society and culture. What impressed me most was the helpfulness of young people in Germany."

"The digital transformation is changing the demands of the working world. Vocational education and training are facing major challenges. We can best tackle these challenges by working together with our international partners," added Mr. Markus Johannes Zimmermann, Managing Director and Principal of Dr. Eckert Academy, during the farewell ceremony for the guests from China.

The Pocy Group and Dr. Eckert Academy intend to deepen their cooperation in the future and further expand their long-term partnership.
