Eckert Schools International presented the necessary technical know-how for the training of qualified personnel to VinFast: a tailor-made train-the-trainer course in Regenstauf provided didactic and subject-specific know-how in the fields of industrial mechanics and mechatronics. Subsequently, the support was provided by Eckert Schools International on-site in Vietnam. The training center was officially opened on September 10th 2018. Gerald Saule, Head of Vocational Training International, representative of Eckert Schools International and responsible project leader, congratulated VinFast on the successful start of training.
The plans are ambitions. VinFast, a subsidiary of the real estate and industrial conglomerate Vingroup, plans to launch the first electric scooter by the end of 2018, the first petrol engine by the end of 2019, and the development of an electric car and electric buses is on the agenda for the coming years. This, among other things, however, requires qualified specialists on-site. In the future, those teachers who have participated in an intensive Train-the-Trainer program at Eckert Schools International, are going to be responsible for the training.
Phase 1 of the further training consisted in a 3-month practical training on the Regenstauf campus. It involved the creation and planning of teaching units, methodology and didactics in teaching as well as assessment systems for the knowledge and skills of future trainees. The basics of health protection, occupational safety and environmental protection were also covered - excursions to the vocational school in Nabburg, the Festo Training Center in Esslingen and the BMW production site in Regensburg provided valuable practical examples for future work.
The second phase took place in Haiphong / Vietnam 9,000 kilometers away. Experienced lecturers from Eckert Schools taught the prospective instructors directly on-site, at the premises of the VinFast Training Center. From September 10, 2018 on, the 200 trainees in industrial mechanics and mechatronics are going to enjoy a dual training system that combines well-founded theory with practical experience in accordance with a recognized German model.
Thus, VinFast is a recognized training company of the dual trained according to German standards. The AHK Vietnam presented VinFast with the corresponding DIHK certificate on the day of the opening ceremony.
