Mechatronics involve the development and technical implementation of integrated microprocessor-controlled mechanical electrical systems that are distinguished by a degree of intelligence and discrete capabilities. German Industrial Master Craftsmen International, specialisation mechatronics, are qualified to work in the fields of machine and system building and the operation, installation and commissioning of such systems, their maintenance and service as well as in field-specific technical, organisational and management tasks. This course of study is a pillar of success in ensuring the increasing worldwide recognition and growth of the German dual educational system.

Prerequisites
Language prerequisite
Depending on the agreement, the course can be carried out in German or English. Participants must have at least level B1 in the relevant language.
Interdisciplinary basic qualification
- Successful completion of a relevant course of vocational training
- Or successful completion of a different course of vocational training followed by two years of work experience
- Or at least four years of work experience
Specific operational qualification
- Successfully completion of the course section “Interdisciplinary basic qualification” in the last five years and
- An additional year of work experience above and beyond the requirements named above.
Exceptions may be granted upon request.
