As a German Hotel and Tourism Specialist International you will be working in all areas of the hospitality and catering industry as well as in tourism management. You can take up positions in hotel administration, at the reception or in the F&B sector. Your responsibilities include calculating offers, supply management or personnel planning. You may even run hospitality establishments independently as you are familiar with all relevant procedures and operations.
Hotel and Tourism Specialists combine hospitality expertise, communication skills and business knowledge in their work. Thanks to their comprehensive training, they are greatly sought after by international hotels, restaurants and catering companies as well as by tourism associations, airlines or shipping companies, culture and event agencies or companies in the respective supply industry.

Prerequisites
Language prerequisite
Depending on the agreement, the course can be carried out in German or English. Participants must have at least level B1 in the relevant language.
Interdisciplinary basic qualification
- Successful completion of a relevant course of vocational training
- Or successful completion of a different course of vocational training followed by two years of work experience
- Or at least four years of work experience
Specific operational qualification
- Successfully completion of the course section “Interdisciplinary basic qualification” in the last five years and
- An additional year of work experience above and beyond the requirements named above.
Exceptions may be granted upon request.
